Daughters of Israel, do not be fooled! If the price of a sheytl seems too good to be true, it probably is.

The NY Post reports,

Brooklyn’s renowned Shevy Wigs says in a trademark-infringement suit filed in Brooklyn federal court that it became aware of the alleged rip-off when FedEx mistakenly delivered a package from China in March[...]The wigs delivered by FedEx bore the Shevy label, but “the materials, namely the hair and stretch cap, were of inferior quality and construction,” according to Shevy’s legal papers.

The person the delivery was intended for - a former employee named Aggie Grossman, who has since opened her own business, Aggie’s Wigs - demanded her shipment be given to her.

Shevy refused, and instead took Grossman to court.

I don’t currently see a need to look to African tribes for advice on possible inferior prophylatic alternatives to condoms.

The article doesn’t explain why they are suing Grossman. Was she purposely importing wigs she knew to be inferior under Shevy’s label? It doesn’t seem like she is the copyright infringer unless they can prove that she wasn’t the victim but rather the perpetrator.
