Jewcy the Jew site wants Jew presidential candidates because they are multicultural universalists

These hipsters are dead inline with the ‘defense’ orgs, with their usual nationalist victimology in the guise of anti-racism, but since its Jewcy, and it’s hipsters doing it, it’s very cutting edge and refreshing.

I guess since Jewcy writer Abe Greenwald is inline with the ADL over their outrage over McCain’s “disappointing preference for a Christian president, there won’t be a daring protest at the 92nd Street Y over this one.

Anyway, just so you know, I will take this issue very seriously. Just as soon as Israel elects a Christian prime minister. Not a moment later.

It hurts to be irrelevant, DK, and they’re irrelevant. And getting irreleventer.

Does it count if we elect Mitt Romney, whose religion isn’t really what we talk about when we say “Christian”?

“Does it count if we elect Mitt Romney?”

Good question. I don’t think that will be perceived to be appropriate. Outside of the pale of normative Christianity. And they are as insular as the Jews.

What if we elected a man (or woman)based on what they do? Just asking…

To McCain: He said some stupid stuff and should be busted on. But where are the liberal Christians jumping on this? Liberal Jews are all over when our more regressive right-wing family members call for the destruction of the Wall of Separation outline by our Founding Fathers…

POLJ asked,

“But where are the liberal Christians jumping on this?”

The liberal Christians are probably under the crazy notion that Jews have enough power in the U.S. of A. as it is, and see no need to declare their desire to have a Jewish president.

Quite frankly, they may have a point.

We’ve had, e.g., David Klinghoffer, Mobius, Peter Singer, John Derbyshire, Justin Raimondo, Douglas Rushkoff, and Jack Wertheimer write for Jewcy. So either we’re proudly carrying the standard for Torah true, ortho-anarchist, utilitarian, contrarian, paleoconservative, open-source traditionalism, or many Jewcy pieces do not express the Jewcy editorial viewpoint. There are too many ideological circle jerks taking place on the internet and in the Jewish community (and on both the right and the left), Jewcy’s never sought to create another one. Our editorial preferences come out in the proportions and in the occasional group thingie (like the Foxman protest).

Personally, I have a hard time being bothered by the McCain comment. I’m content just adding it to the reasons I won’t vote for him. On the other hand, I agree with the ADL on some of their criticisms of the endlessly ridiculous European left.

Oh, ain’t that the truth.

“Jewcy’s never sought to create another one.”

Well…fine.

“On the other hand, I agree with the ADL on some of their criticisms of the endlessly ridiculous European left.”

Even a broken record clock is right twice a day.
