Hanging out with a bad crowd
When you don’t go to Touro or a dual curriculum school (assuming you are going to college at all, which one should not assume), you end up with hanging out with a bad crowd, instead of accountants, lawyers, and guys planning to move to Israel as soon as they graduate and do daf yomi. You usually just do.
Look at Chaim. Chaim is was probably a nice guy, but he went to Columbia, and now look at him.
The NY Times reports,
Chaim Lazaros, 23, a student at Columbia University and an independent filmmaker, founded Superheroes Anonymous to bring to New York as many superheroes as he could for interviews and to record them for a documentary he is making about the movement.
“I found these people on MySpace, Mr. Lazaros said, referring to the social networking Web site, “and I knew I had to tell the story.

He is just a bowl full of crazy, and would have found himself hanging out with “superheroes” no matter what.
Although if you watch the Stan Lee reality show about superheroes, you would know that there was a guy called “mitzvah man.” Pretty awesome…
actually it was mr mitzvah and he was a HUGE chilul hashem
accountants & lawyers? you sound like a stuck-up jerk w/o a real complaint. You’re right about one thing–no one’s assuming you went to college. Maybe writing, and thinking, isn’t for you.
Can someone tell me why people who personify doing mitzvahs is a Chillul Hashem? Is this article supposed to be defaming? It sure sounds it from the tone. We are out here doing mitzvahs and you call it a “bad crowd” in your headlines. Sorry you don’t have an education and are resentful that I am getting some press (which I am sure your CHALISHING for, Mr. Blog Writer), but I happen to be doing a good thing and doing it with good people, so keep your Loshon Hora to yourself so we can get the fucking Beis Hamigdosh Shlishi.
Capiche?

PS: I have spoken several times to Mr. Mitzvah and do you know he donates %100 (no, there is not an extra zero) of his profits to Tzedakah. Go on, say some more Loshon Hora on the blog about another Yid, Tzadick’ll.
PS: I was in Yeshiva in Jerusalem under YU for a year and than went to YU for a 2nd year before I transfered to Columbia.
PPS: There are no pictures of me posted yet, but I wore my yarmulke throughout the entire event and film shoot. Watch out for the release, you’ll see.
Um…Chaim…please note the humor tag. I think what you are doing is brilliant and quite funny. I will be happy to post your picture if you send me a link when it is printed. This was a side note on my war against sending smart students to Touro, and the sarcasm not actually aimed at you.
I wish you the best of luck both at Columbia and with your exciting project.
Thanks. Be careful about what you write. Tone is very hard to get across correctly on this medium. You wouldn’t want anyone (like myself) to get the wrong idea. The pen is a dangerous weapon if used incorrectly. Have a great Shabbos. G-d bless.
