A Late JTA April Fools?
Apparently, even “the global news service of the Jewish people” needs to have a laugh. I am assuming this must be satire.
The JTA reports,
An Israeli firm was named as the most ethical foreign company that works with the U.S. government.
They should have just really gone full-on and written,
“An Israeli and ultra-Orthodox firm was named as the most ethical and pro-labor foreign company that works with the U.S. government.”

I’m not sure what the joke is. That they were found ethical and that’s unusual for Israeli companies?
The bar is set pretty low, according to the article, which bases standings on “satisfaction” (which could mean many different things, depending on the context…). As #1, Elbit Systems had a grade of just under 75%, a strong “C”, according to this educator.
Unless there is actually a reverse correlation between “satisfaction” and ethics (it would depend on whose “satisfaction” was being measured, I suppose). Since Elbit Systems is a defense technology company, this scenario might make more sense
Real smooth how DK got the “ultra-orthodox” piece in there. Nothing like a complete non-sequitur to drive home that compelling non-point.
