Big Aish Hacked!

Big Aish was hacked! This is not good, and certainly not the way any of us wanted to see Big Aish taken down. I don’t want to point fingers, but I wouldn’t rule out anti-Semitic hackers. They have a preference for Jewish sites, and even brought down Heeb magazine a few times. I guess they weren’t the brightest of anti-Semitic hackers to focus on Heeb, but we all look the same to the sonei yisroel (haters of Israel). I don’t think it is necessary to mention that they were clearly Muslim, as this surely that was incidental.

Anyway, I will have to wait to post my newest vicious attack on Big Aish. So hurry up and get live again! Also, Big Aish says they will restore the site, “God willing.” Shouldn’t they have a dash between the G and the D?

Update from Aish.com

“During Passover, Aish.com was maliciously attacked by a group from Beijing, China. While our servers sit very safely behind firewalls, this group was able to exploit a bug in the web servers’ operating code which allowed them to insert hyper-links on a handful of Aish.com webpages. Our hosting company, Terremark (also home to Google and YouTube) was able to identify the attack and exactly which files were effected. For safety sake, it was decided to completely restore the website from backup files that were dated before the attack. This required a lengthy restore process of hundreds of gigabytes of data on multiple servers and databases. The data was restored and verified for integrity and errors at every step in the process. Thank God, the website is now back up and the bug that the hackers were able to use has now been safely closed.”

Yes, G-d should have been hyphenated out of respect for Him since we show so little so often the rest of the time.

Nevermind me, just a bit depressed over other things.

Aish isn’t that bad. Not intellectually honest, but not that bad. I know worse in the secular world. Far worse. And they aren’t even really likeable at all. Aish is at least somewhat inviting.
