Germany sends strong message to Muslim community

If you stab a Jew and yell, “”S— Jew, I will kill you,” you face a whole 3 and 1/2 years in jail.

I remember the Muslim outrage on the streets in midtown when Oslo fell apart…I haven’t forgotten that. We’ll have to face this shit regularly here, too, and already have. Just keep ‘em coming.

Wake up, Jews. It’s time to revisit our immigration stance. We can’t afford this “We’re a nation of immigrants” narishkeit. These guys aren’t always immigrants in the sense that we would like to believe, nor in the way we once were. A small but virulent faction appear to be settlers bent on colonizing the West. Just look at the mess they are making in Europe. Others harbor ambitions of cultural dominance through numbers and language.

So Happy Memorial Day, yidden. Pre-war Jewry must remember those who came to build this great nation. And we must ally on immigration with the descendants of our countrymen who forged it, and who have treated us so well.

Let’s make a deal. When the Muslim community in Europe successfully integrates into France, England, and Canada, something I am so sure is just around the corner, just as soon as everyone learns to love each other and there is everlasting peace in the Middle East, we can absolutely revisit a moratorium on mass immigration from those nations producing these immigrant problems.

Until that time, we need to be realists.

Hello there, DK.

“Let’s make a deal. When the Muslim community in Europe successfully integrates into France, England, and Canada, something I am so sure is just around the corner, just as soon as everyone learns to love each other and there is everlasting peace in the Middle East, we can absolutely revisit a moratorium on mass immigration from those nations producing these immigrant problems.”

The reason for the failure of Muslim integration in Europe cuts two ways. It is due to the actions of the immigrants themselves as well as the structures of government, economics, and society in which they live. Put another way, France (or the UK) is not the USA. European countries have been much less successful at integrating foreigners. My wife’s family, for example, is from India. But she was brought up here in the US and is every bit as “American” as I am (born and raised). Things are much different in Europe. Immigrants from non-European countries who have lived there for a few generations are still considered “foreigners.” Look at the Turks in Germany, Moroccans in Spain, Algerians in France, etc.

Until European countries become the sort of places where opportunities exist for immigrants the way those opportunities exist in the US, immigrants will continue to be on the margins of society. And I’m not talking about welfare, I’m talking about real opportunities. Education, access to capital, the ability to easily start small businesses, those sorts of things.

I think when one views opinion surveys and other measurements of popular opinion among Muslim immigrants in the US, UK, France, Germany, etc. the US always comes out on top. We do not have the same problems with immigrant populations that Europe does and that is reflected in peoples opinions. Yes, there are wack jobs but the vast majority of Muslims in this country are not seeking to establish a new caliphate they are seeking the American Dream. I know that sounds corny but from my experience it is true.

The opportunities are there: free language classes, access to free quality education, same (lowcost) university education, generous study loans, etc. There are Muslims that are well-integrated into European society, but those that attract most media attention are those that do not wish to integrate themselves. Also, most Europeans are aware of the various ethnic influences on their genetic code. This area, for instance, was inhabited by a Celtic tribe originating in the Middle East (”genuine” Celts typically are dark-haired), Romans, Jews straight from the Middle East as well, all kinds of Germanic tribes, even the huns made it here. The dialect spoken here mixes a medieval variety of German older than Yiddish with French, Italian (1960s’ guest workers), Hebrew, even Turkish etc. It’s inexact to think of Europe as a conglomeration of areas with sharply divided culturel and ethnic spheres.
Integration is a two-way street, and while the US may consider itself a country of immigrants, there’s a considerable body of those that consider themselves the “real”, “original” Americans - when the Mayflower Compact and the Declaration of Independence were put up, “men”, which we now read as “any human being”, exclusively pertained to white Protestant males.

For what it’s worth, my impression was that the immigrants in Switzerland have acculturated even more than Americans.
What are they doing different?

WEVS1 , my main concern is hardly Hindus. Bit I think the Muslim population from many of the Middle Eastern countries is not a good risk at this time, and I don’t think increasing mass immigration to the South West from Mexico makes sense at this juncture either.

Sarah/froylein, I don’t think of the U.S. as really a nation of immigrants. I don’t mind a little WASP hegemony. I think it has suited us quite well, and see no reason to want to alter that further than it has already been diminished.

I can speak on parts of Canada–these people do not want to integrate–they want to change the country they are running to. So far Canada is become a fragmented country with each “group” living in their own societies and when they reach majority they try to change Canada to their own ways. Just look at how they destroyed the image of our RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) and all for a turban! In Vancouver there is fighting and drive-by shootings. Between the East-Indians (Muslin & Hindu) and the Asians (Budhists and Gang Members) the orginal population is being forced out. I think that when people immigrate they must not be allowed to destroy what made the country of their choice–if they are truly “fleeing” why do they want to bring the lifestyle they are fleeing with them??. If they want Sharia law let them go back to Iran or where ever they come from. Sadly, I think that this is only wishful thinking on my part.
