Muslim Man Persecuted For Religious Beliefs

While Jewschool is having a discussion about how Muslims are the new Jews of Europe, Muslims are being persecuted right here under our own noses in the U.S.

Meet Chaudhry Rashid. Muslim. Victim. And therefore, Jew. Rashid is facing jail just for performing a holy honor killing of his daughter who horrifically shamed the family by filing for divorce.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports,

A Pakistani man accused of killing his daughter five days after she filed for divorce to end her arranged marriage wept in court Tuesday, telling a Clayton County magistrate he is innocent.

“I have done nothing wrong,” Chaudhry Rashid told Chief Magistrate Daphne Walker through interpreter Younis Farhat. Farhat said Rashid speaks primarily Urdu and Punjabi.

But police say Rashid, 54, used a bungee cord to strangle Sandeela Kanwal, 25, early Sunday morning in the family’s Utah Drive home in Jonesboro.

Our hearts go out to this victim/Jew Rashid, who surely faces discrimination that “is a tiny hop, skip and jump away from anti-Semitism, in its pervasive nature.”

I don’t know how any person with a brain can compare the situation of Muslims in today Europe (in Paris, for instance, they make up 30% of the population) with those of Jews during the Third Reich. Muslims are granted freedom of creed, freedom of possession, freedom of individual development in educational and professional life, freedom of settling where they want to settle and are eligible to all social benefits non-Muslims are eligible to. European states will, howeer, rightfully demand that Muslims - just as non-Muslims - respect the constitutions, political systems and values of their respective surrounding societies. There are many well-integrated and highly educated Muslim people in Europe that practise their faith. But those also point out that a few things extremists claim to be a matter of faith, e.g. wearing headscarves / veiling up, indeed are not. Those also are embarrassed by the scum they get associated with by faith or origin.

Well, according to their interpretation, they often are considered law. Just like the haredim and RWMO consider women wearing headcoverings halacha.

I know; back in the day (18th century CE) rabbis even condemned the wigs as they were copied from the goyish upper class fashion that started in the 16th century and re-discovered an Ancient Roman tradition at that. Inded, profgressive Muslims here ask women to not wear headcoverings as they’re a symbol of religious extremism and suppression.

Mo,

I can never tell with you. I feel like you should walk around with a gage around your neck, the same way that Flavor Flav walks around with a clock on his. And let me same you the time by posting a link:

DK sounds here like he makes fun of the JS article and its ridiculous stance, with which I totally agree. He never fails, however, to equate haredim with Terrorists and Islamists.

Disgusting as some things they do, forcing one out of a community if he doesn’t comply with the rules -be they as far-fetched and stupid as it gets- is not the equivalent of honor killings and mass-murder. Ironically, DK’s anti-religious fanaticism is more reminiscent of the Islamic rhetoric than that of the haredi hard-liners’, whom he routinely smears.
