Big Aish is Hiding Baruch Lanner’s Enabler

And the frummies are all behind him!

Big Aish’s “Project Inspire” is led by Rabbi Matt Tropp, known as Baruch Lanner’s “hatchet man.” Whether silencing teens who were kicked in the groin, or browbeating “Baruch’s girls” into submission, Tropp — who considered Lanner his personal Rebbe — was always there to make sure Lanner was able to abuse another day.

Eventually, after a very long time indeed, NCSY finally moved Tropp over to their partner Big Aish, and the OU continued to work with him. Cause if it ain’t broke, why fix it? Eventually, the OU pulled out of this alliance, just as criticism from bloggers such as myself began to gain traction and reaction.

But of course, the black hat BTs and FFBs throughout the U.S. continue to work with Baruch’s main man.

But what they don’t do is reveal that he is running the show. Rabbi Tropp, who never took responsibility for the abuse he enabled, is not to be found on Kiruv.com website or staff listing.

They are hiding that Tropp is a part of Kiruv.com – Project Inspire, never mind running the show. Or rather, Tropp himself is hiding that he is running the show.

The frum do not care what he did. He does not owe them or anyone else an apology. Lanner helped make teens frum. So he kneed some boys in the balls, so he touched the girls in a special way. Well, sometimes if you want to make an omelette, you gotta break a few eggs.

But people have a right to know who is running Big Aish’s Kiruv program, and they have a right to know who is secretly working with Rabbi Tropp. What else does secular Jewry need in order to understand how predatory and deceptive these people really are? Look who Big Aish has at the head of Kiruv.com, the main institution for galvanizing the Orthodox community to proselytize! They know the secular and liberal Jewish community would balk at this, so they assiduously hide his identity and role in their outreach efforts.

They are hiding his identity from you. They don’t care.

Defenders will note that Rabbi Tropp was quite young when this happened. They will claim that he was a victim of Lanner himself. They will say it is unfair to hold a grudge just because Tropp blatantly and repeatedly lied and obstructed to protect his Rebbe.

That is for secular Jewry to decide if they are so forgiving. But secular Jewry has a right to know who is leading the Kiruv onslaught against them and their youth.
