EV’s Kashya (Question)

December 1, 2008   Humor, kosher   Ronen Levi Yitzchak Segal, Rubashkin

Eli Valley wrote in to The Kvetcher confused by the discussion on the Save the Rubashkin Facebook group. Apparently, our Breslover “masturbation leads to homosexuality” friend, Ronen Levi Yitzchak Segal, is making a strong case in defense of the Rubashkins. “Why,” Eli wants to know, “is masturbation a sin, but ripping out an animal’s trachea while it’s still alive is okay?”

The answer, EV, is that sometimes in halachic Judaism, choking your chicken is forbidden, and sometimes, choking your chicken is permitted.
