I’m In Lockdown — NCSY Censors Win Again on Wikipedia

There was once upon a time a bad man named Baruch Lanner, but he acted alone. It had nothing to do with NCSY. It had nothing to do with the Orthodox Union. He was one man, and no one had any idea what was happening during those few decades. To insist that he is in any way a part of NCSY’s or the OU’s history is to be hateful. They did nothing wrong. No one had any idea. “It was like chasing shadows.” And that is why there is no mention of him on Wikipedia’s NCSY page. Because it doesn’t belong there. Baruch Lanner did those things, not NCSY. So please do not bother trying to insist otherwise on Wikipedia. Your edit will be deleted, and you will be locked out of Wikipedia.

Please come to the Pinchas Stolper Award celebration on January 11th.

Update: Wikipedia editors have moved in. I will keep you abreast of any more disconcerting developments as and if they arise. Thanks to all you for your help and your support. At the beginning, I used to feel so alone when advocating on these issues…I don’t feel like that anymore.

Further Update: The lockout on Wikipedia was rescinded.

Did you get back in? This line is in the Wiki article I’m seeing:

“In 2000, NCSY came under fire for protecting Baruch Lanner, a senior staff member who had sexually and physically assaulted teens for decades.”

there is now a section with citations and an entry justifying it on the talk page along with a discussion of the blocking itself.
