Conversion invalidated out of Anglophobia
January 20, 2009 Haredim, Israel, Satire
Like most of you, I get out of bed each day, and wonder, “What evil things can I do to and say about white Christian people?” Fortunately, like most haredi Jews (and I can assure you, on the life of Ahmedinijad, that I have permission from the Gedolim themselves to write this blog), I have a great distaste for western culture. Whenever I hear Beethoven or Radiohead, my first impulse is to say, “Pass the bong!” “Turn that shit off and put on the Miami Boys Choir!”
Fortunately, the great ones of Israel are guarding our people, and not letting alien influences destroy the remnant of our once great civilization.
Jpost reports,
The son of the late Jewish theologian and Holocaust survivor Emil Fackenheim plans to fight a decision by a Jerusalem Rabbinical Court Judge to retroactively annul his conversion of 27 years[...]
A witness who was present during the divorce proceeding but who preferred to remain anonymous said that the presiding rabbinical judge conducted the court session in a “surreal” way.
“First, the man was dressed like a Hassidic Rebbe, with a satin robe and a huge fur hat, and not like all the other rabbinical judges with simple black coats.
“Then the judge began to ask Yossi what he does for a living. Yossi told him that he was a Shakespearean actor. The judge responded that Shakespeare was anti-Semitic. We all thought he was referring to a Merchant of Venice. There was an attempt to convince him that in other plays Shakespeare came off as philo-Semitic.
“But we quickly realized that he was not referring to Shakespeare’s work. He said that all goyim are anti-Semites. Then he turned to Yossi and said, ‘you aren’t Jewish either.’ The implication was clear.”
I can’t believe that Shakespearean “actors” were ever considered “conversion” candidates. What a bunch of nonsense. What next, Amalekite crossdressers? Will the insanity of the Left ever end?
Mashiach is surely around the corner. As a people, we can’t possibly grow any spiritually weaker.

As usual, you ignore the substansive issues.
The basis for converting a minor, who legally can’t effect transactions is that beis din can act as his proxy in matters which are clearly advantageous to him, with the presumption that this is what he would have wanted. Even so, the transaction effected, in this case geirus, remains in limbo until he ratifies it as an adult. If he stopped living a religious lifestyle before his thirteenth birthday a: it was no longer clearly advantageous to him and b: there was no adult ratification.
mohammed, then why bring up Shakespeare, and why did this HASSIDIC rabbi delve into every gentiles anti-Semitic leanings?
the “rabbinate” are a bunch of bought and paid for zionist whores and I see no reason to waste my time speculating on why they may have done anything at all. whatever he may have said, he’s certainly not more of a racist xenophobe than mordechai eliyahu or ovadya yosef.
but you basically ignored the issue altogether. you could have just as well written rabbi invalidates conversion and comments on the chandelier in the hall. what’s next? flourescent bulbs?
Mohammed, the issue is not the logic of Haredi jurisprudence but its effects on Israeli society as a whole.
There is a logic in arguing that if we as Jews want converts to be Hareidi, then we must ensure that they have such a commitment and there is logic in retrospectively invalidating a conversion if such commitment never existed. The problem we face is that knowing what we know today, to be Hareidi means you are a sociopath, delusional or a simple ignoramus. If we wish our converts to be mentally stable then we must take steps to ensure that converts do NOT have a commitment to be Hareidi by taking active steps to discourage converts becoming Hareidim.
Do we want to limit our converts to people who believe in Golems and that the world is 6000 years old? Do we want to limit conversions to the stupid and the disturbed?
Its bad enough that the Supreme Court in Israel does not intervene in allow such people to be exercise judicial power. For most secular Israelis, the Rabbinical Courts are the only point of contact with the Hareidi judiciary and it leaves them with nothing but disdain for their jurisprudence.

looks like he’s hitting your bong.
And if your rov told you she appeared and said “Zionism is an abomination” – would you believe it, M.?
Then she would be talking sense and he wouldn’t.
