Obnoxious Hypocrisy

June 24, 2009   Holocaustism, Race

The controversy over Pat Buchanan continues, and I do intend to explain my position later at length if this whole bruhaha doesn’t die down, but I would like to point out that the sanctimonious screechings of the (usually) Jewish social-Left against “hate” are often just as shrill and, well, hateful, as those they are attacking.

Take Ben Cohen’s screed at Huffpost. This guy has spittle running down his chin.

Though conceding that, “Buchanan is technically right about discrimination,” Cohen never the less can’t figure out why anyone would be “dedicated to bemoaning ‘reverse discrimination’ and the rise of ‘unqualified’ minorities.”

Well, that would be anyone dedicated to a modicum of meritocracy, actually.

And after all,

“Every minority in America has suffered at the hands of white people.”

This is a real whitewash. Every minority has suffered at the hands of every majority or the ruling power since time immemorial, particularly when we are discussing “suffering” according to the expansive definition of Ben Cohen.

And everything is Holocaust related for Cohen, of course.

It is a country founded by white people, built by white people and controlled by white people. To pretend otherwise is akin to holocaust denial. It is a fact.

Cohen notes,

Buchanan is part of a vocal minority that prey on white people’s fear.

Every advocate for an ethnically based group in some way preys upon that group’s fears. That’s how it works. And that is exactly what Ben Cohen himself is doing.

The MSM’s penchant for a tear up is one thing, a man dedicated to furthering the cause of the white race is another.

Right. Everyone else is allowed to do that, on MSNBC or anywhere else, but not white people. Right, Ben?

The embattled white man is angry, and he’s not going to go down without a fight.

Cohen’s mockery of white men is unremitting and utterly unsympathetic. He finally notes,

There’s no debating with ingrained racism like this.

I couldn’t agree more, Ben.

“Every minority in America has suffered at the hands of white people.”

Nope. He’s confusing groups with the individual members of the group. Not every individual minority member has suffered at the hands of every white person. So the logic doesn’t hold. Some minority members have benefited at the hands of some white people. Some white people have suffered at the hands of some minority members.

“It is a country founded by white people, built by white people and controlled by white people.”

Not sure what his point is. Who does he think is president? Does he think all of us white boys think alike?

“Buchanan is part of a vocal minority that prey on white people’s fear.”

As compared to, uh, Jeremiah Wright and Al Sharpton?

“The MSM’s penchant for a tear up is one thing, a man dedicated to furthering the cause of the white race is another.”

Since when did the white race have a cause? And what’s wrong with the white race?

I”ve given this some more thought. Ben Cohen has a very impressive article. We should do something for him. How about a bunch of us chipping in and getting him season’s ticket s to the Duke lacrosse team?
What’s that? They don’t have a lacrosse team? Wow! Did something happen?
