The unfortunate donation by Sergey Brin

November 3, 2009   Immigration, Jewlicious

Sergey Brin’s recent donation to HIAS, an organization that smears its opponents and tries to silence them, has the unfortunate effect of making HIAS look like a swell, helpful organization. Even one of the Zionists is getting all cutesy about HIAS, which is just silly. Maybe Jewlicious should get all cutesy wootsy about Muslim mass immigration while they are at it, since this is what HIAS stands for as well. PROGRESS BY PESACH!

Oh, look! Isn’t that so wonderful, another honor killing by a New American. How diverse.

I would remind everyone that HIAS has never apologized for the way they treated Dr. Stephen Steinlight.

Why is it just silly for me to make fun of, while informing people about the Russian Jewish community. As I commented on Jewlicious, HIAS is not a relevant organization, having fulfilled its purpose of bringing the majority of my family and Northeast Philadelphia over, but tries to market itself as such with events as Progress by Pesach. While annoying (as it is every time groups try to lobby the government,) it it in no way encourages radical Muslim immigration, as you are implying. Unless you are assuming that every Muslim is radical.

What’s wrong with “Muslim mass immigration”? I guess the same thing that was wrong with Italian mass immigration in the late 19th century (lazy, smelly, Italians,) with mass Jewish immigration in the early 20th century and again in 1991 (weird, have their own religion, don’t integrate into mainstream American society,) and every other wave of immigration that has hit American shores to date. This kind of patriotism is exactly what America does not need.

Vicki, I really hope you can make it to NYC next time and experience DK in person. :)

No. In fact, there are differences between some immigrant groups and others. Perhaps you should consider what the concerns are over mass Muslim immigration and mass Mexican immigration more seriously, and not just summarily dismiss them because there were groups concerned about Jewish and Italian immigration in the late 19th and early 20th century.

Unless you are assuming that every Muslim is radical.

Oh, I see you took Smear 101 at Social Liberal University (SLU). It isn’t about “every” or even most being “radical.” It is about a large percentage of the population with a conflicting national and cultural agenda.
