You have a point about the MTV thing. On the other hand, the interviewed Somali leader said the video “shows that the youth dollars are failing our COMMUNITY.” He could have chosen to say that youth dollars (whatever that means) failed these kids, or that the kids fell through the cracks.
Mobius, there has been a massive disproportion of Somali misbehavior from a relatively miniscule community.
You have–and will probably continue to have–excuses always at hand to reject those dreaded generalizations that so upset you.
My way, however, is much more pragmatic. The less Somalis we take in, the less problems we will have from Somalis here, whether inspired by Islamic resentment, MTV, colonialism, or our gender-discriminatory laws against FGM rituals.
And you, my friend, can then employ your dismissive explanations for communities already here.
Crossing the line? What kind of language is that Mobius?
It seems leftists like you have decided on arbitrary limits on free speech and anyone who “crosses the line” must be dealt with. I’m sure Lou Dobbs crossed the line plenty before he was dealt with.
In a country that produces a website like http://makeadare.com the notion that ethnicity or religious identity play a role in this behavior is absurd on its face.
mobius, how does such a smart guy have such naivete? Is it doublethink? Was it tutored or autodidactic? You’ve been around the block at this point. How do you still pull it off, exactly?

For God’s sake Kelsey, this is MTV’s fault, not Islam’s. You’re crossing the line, really.
Looks like the “happy slapping” vids that appeared all over the internet a couple of years ago.
Mobius,

Why spread yourself too thin with excuses?

Who the hell do these leftists think they are?
Frummies, white supremacists, and now you’ve apparently inherited formermuslim (what happened, fm – they finally kick you off of Jewschool?).
David, I’ll suggest it again – it may be time for Kvetcher to become an “invitation only” blog.
