The move to build a coalition in Boston began in 2007 after the Anti-Defamation League of New England, a group primarily known for combating anti-Semitism, announced new efforts to fight against anti-immigrant rhetoric and hate crimes. Leaders of the Anti-Defamation League said at the time they were alarmed at the hostility toward immigrants surfacing as the country debated immigration reform.

It’s typical of the ADL. Those who disagree with them are “hostile.”

How very convenient.

You gotta admit…this is a partnership that makes sense.

Why should the Muslims court the Latinos separately from the Jews courting the Latinos? Can we get some cooperation, please? Let’s just all work together. Aren’t we all working for the common goal?

Anyway, I sure hope our Muslim friends make the ADL’s We Were Strangers seders! Because no one will raise their cups (of wine, no less) higher to celebrate God drowning the Pharaoh’s army for us than our Muslim friends.

Actually, maybe we should have a special, “We were strangers” seders specifically to court our Egyptian Muslim friends! Because you weren’t strangers in Egypt…you are strangers from Egypt!

Abe Foxman feels he has to take a strong position on everything Holocaust. Why? Because he is the self-appointed High Priest of the Holocaustians.

If I were a marketing person seeking to justify the existence of/fundraise for the ADL through citations of White Nationalists and White Supremacists, I would also look to David Duke for juicy quotes. Why not? He is quite infamous in our community.

But why would they pick this one?

How is this not a good question? What does this say about the ADL and its donors that they cite this as a proof of how evil David Duke is?

Is this about “fighting anti-semitism,” or is this about the ADL’s attempt to smear anyone who questions the ADL’s fanatical goal of a white minority (as soon as possible) as a white supremacist? After all, questioning the ADL’s goal of making whites “strangers” is something the likes of David Duke would ask, right?

But though angry at all who are denying him access to local chapters interested in hearing his perspective, Dr. Steinlight reserves special disgust for the ADL.

That the Anti-Defamation League defamed me based on lies whose veracity they never bothered to check — such is their belief in truth and justice — bothers me a great deal less.

“Arab” Rejection?

I mean, I personally don’t care, but isn’t this suggesting that being Arab is synonymous with a certain mentality? And if so, how is that better than generalizing about Muslims? How is that different than generalizing about blacks?

I know the ADL would never have one standard for Zionist issues, and another for everyone else. So help me understand the difference, thanks.

I wonder–outside of the dubious promise of educational efforts at promoting ubiquitous “sensitivity”–what might work in terms of reducing (or at least, diminishing the growth of) the
growing domestic terror threat of American Muslim extremist?

I mean, since obviously, we could never stop pushing for mass immigration including from the countries these extremists come from, that is.

Clearly, that option is simply not one we can consider.

If only there was something we could so…

The Jewish community has stabbed free speech and equality in the eyes of law in the back.

The Forward’s Nathan Guttman reports,

Twelve years of activism by Jewish groups is nearing an end as Congress prepares to approve legislation that would expand the definition of hate crimes to include actions based on a victim’s sexual orientation, gender or disability.

Jewish groups have been front and center in lobbying for the inclusion of these categories in the existing law, which already defines as hate crimes those that are committed on the basis of race, color, religion and national origin.

While the Forward and I might disagree on the Hate Crimes laws, the Forward is too honest not to note,

The Matthew Shepard Hate Crime Prevention Act is named after the gay student who was brutally murdered in Wyoming in 1998 because of his sexual orientation. Shepard’s murderers received life sentences, but the case was not prosecuted as a hate crime. – [Emphasis added]
