More on the Ohr Somayach College Credit Scam

Three biology credits for swinging a chicken?

Face, a frequently hostile Orthodox commenter on The Kvetcher and other sites, boasts of his experience with Ohr Somayach, Jerusalem, and it’s version of the Ohr Somayach Monsey scam where Farleigh Dickinson University grants up to 72 credits for religious education to Ohr Somayach students,

I was in OS 1999-2000 I was granted 32 University credits. My halacha class translated to a law credit, my Nach class translated to a history credit, my kashrus class got me a health & nutrition credit. I also got political science credits and linguistics credits. Got As and A+ all over my transcript without having to take one test.

The Joys of Diversity on Campus

Why let the Israeli ambassador speak when you can impress each other on how angry you are and dedicated to Jihad? Look at these budding “New Americans” who stand up to the tyranny of a lecture and question and answer session.

Freedom of speech has never been strong in Muslim culture, has it?

Jewlicious has the story.

Orthodox Jews and the Arts

In “Like Cavemen,” SJ notes,

Orthodox Jews don’t have a musical tradition. The Orthodox jewish “musical tradition” sounds either like little kids babbling or it sounds whiny.

There is truth to this. When I attended Yeshiva College, I was the only one who played the violin. Out of a whole school of Ashkenazi men. And these were Modern Orthodox Jews.

I blame it on Canada’s dark legacy of colonialism in the Middle East and Africa

I don’t doubt that our Zionist and social Liberal friends can explain this one away as well. They always have an excuse.

Meet Miriam. Miriam is a teacher. Or rather, Miriam was a teacher. And as a “descendant of Holocaust survivors,” Miriam is very opposed to racism.

But her Muslim students and their parents had a different (but equally valid, of course) perspective on these things.

This is why people don’t want frum Jews to move into their neighborhood

This is what will happen to your school board. Watch as these poor upstanding gentiles desperately attempt to defend their school board from what less sensitive souls than myself would suspect is less than above board machinations.

What a bunch of sleazy heimeshes. Or as Failed Messiah describes them, “haredi thugs.”

Look at how public institutions are viewed as grist for the corrupt haredi machine.

If you want to keep your neighborhood a good neighborhood, don’t let the Orthodox build an eruv.

Lack of an eruv will keep out the Modern Orthodox, and no Modern Orthodox will preempt the haredim from building an enclave.

Isn’t this better than denying free speech?

The Forward reports,

When a predominantly gay synagogue in Manhattan learned that a group of ultra-Evangelical Christians were planning a protest outside their building, the congregation decided to turn the hate rally into a fundraising event.

Parishoners from the Westboro Baptist Church, a Kansas-based institution, gathered on Sunday outside Congregation Beth Simchat Torah with signs reading “God hates fags” and “Jews stole the land.”

The synagogue heard several days in advance of the church’s planned demonstration and decided to counter the protesters’ publicity drive with one of their own, rather than pursuing legal action.

The congregation encouraged its supporters to donate at least $1 for every six minutes that the demonstration lasted.

Following the 51-minute protest, the synagogue was able to raise more than $10,000 in donations.

And as I’m sure you know, Missouri State officials renamed a highway after Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel to undermine its Nazi sponsorship.

Why limit our freedoms or institute even more double standards? Just be smart and creative. So much better! For instance, I have a Black Hebrew two doors down who is filled with rage. But as long as he doesn’t spit on me, that’s his prerogative. I’m not going to take away his right to hate on the ice devil descendants of the nefarious imposter-angel Yaqub…I’m going to get rid of section eight housing!

Closing the racial education gap

Nothing seems to be working. But Steve Sailer has a suggestion that could just do the trick.

Perhaps the federal government should just hit all the white kids over the head with a ballpeen hammer. That would narrow the gap.

WIC Bows to Ultra-Orthodox Anti-Gentilism: Your Tax Dollars Hard at Work

Ultra-Orthdox Supremacism Now Government Subsidized

Ultra-Orthdox Supremacism Now Government Subsidized

Great news! Acceptance of the stringency of Cholov-Yisroel (products with milked-by-a-Jew dairy ingredients), which is an anti-gentile frummie stringency that declares that only dairy products made from milk that was produced under rabbinical supervision can be eaten – is now acceptable to WIC thanks to the hard work of the Agudath Israel.

It is now acceptable…in Texas.

Vos Is Neias reports,

This week, families in Texas receiving federal assistance through the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (commonly known as WIC) were informed by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services (TDHHS) that Kosher and Cholov Yisroel milk and cheese will now be covered under the program in the state, beginning April 1, 2009.

[…]

“Educating and sensitizing the public regarding the unique dietary concerns of our constituents was key during the entire process,” said Rabbi Block.

What “education” is that, Rabbi Block? These “cholov yisroel” products are both inferior and have inflated costs, which the general public is assuming.

Rabbi Yehiel Kalish, National Director of Government Affairs for Agudath Israel noted that the breakthrough “will provide significant financial savings for families in our communities. Additionally it will hopefully open the door for religious accommodations of a similar nature by WIC state offices across the country.”

What a terrible thing for the U.S. government to be subsidizing these idle haredim who are so “pious” they can’t trust gentile farmers to be delivering cows milk.

This should not be happening.

Maybe the Agudath Israel should teach its people the value of work, and stop “educating” the government on how to treat the idle segment of their constituency with ever-greater coddling and “sensitivity.”

For my readers unfamiliar with these issues, please note, not all Orthodox Jews are like this. Just a segment of the Orthodox population, like the fundies who wear their black hats in January and July.

They wear their black hats because they match their black hearts.

The Jewish-Asian Relationship

Why do Jews and Asians get along so well? Is it because we spent so much time together while kids in math class and Suzuki training? Is it because Jews are ultimately from Asia? Is it because Jasian kids are so cute? Is it because Jews love Chinese food and sushi?

OR…is it because Asians are good dancers?
