The JTA reports,

Hungary’s Parliament has passed a bill making Holocaust denial a criminal offense.

The legislation, which would mandate prison terms of up to three years for those found guilty of publicly “denying, questioning or making light of the Holocaust,” was approved Monday night in the presence of Jewish community leaders.

This was Wiesel’s doing.

Such laws, incidentally, do not end Holocaust Denial. Rather, they fuel conspiracy. Because why make something illegal that can be so easily proven?

Elie Wiesel is an enemy of free speech. He is a man who seeks revenge at the price of fueling conspiracy theory against the Jewish community. This stupid law was his doing.

Elie Wiesel is not an American Jewish leader. He must not be described or accepted as such by American Jews of conscience.

Wiesel was not born here. Wiesel did not adopt our attitudes or assimilate. He is pure Holocaustian, and a radicalized nationalist.

There is nothing American about this man.

Rabbi Shaffier claims,

This concept is eye opening because for thousands of years, everyone has hated the Jews, yet the vast majority of our modern Anti-Semites couldn’t tell you why. If you were to ask one of them, “Why do you hate the Jews? You would likely see him take on the glassy-eyed look of the semi-conscious. “Why? Why do I hate the Jew? I hate him so much that I would drink his blood!” His hatred is quite clear, based on his fury and drive. But what is his reason? Your run-of-the-mill Anti-Semite can’t answer the question intelligently.

Though Orthodox, Rabbi Benzion Shaffier is right in-line with the Liberal Jewish fallacy that Jews never do anything wrong to gentiles, and are always the completely innocent victims. The only sin the ultra-Orthodox allow for is not being frum enough. Mistreating gentile neighbors does not even seem to be a possibility for Rabbi Benzion Shaffier.

Rabbi Shaffier claims that antisemites hate Jews because (in his own mind),

“I hate the Jew because he represents everything holy. I hate the Jew because he stands for everything good. He has introduced conscience to mankind.

It’s funny, because I would offer such a different response.

The idea that Jews may not be innocent in their historical and present relationship with gentiles is as foreign to the public Orthodox mindset as it is to the public Liberal Jewish dialogue. It is only whispered among an inner circle of middle managers of the Jewish communal professionalship, usually only after a couple of drinks.

What does Abe want now? He wants “Inglourious Basterds” to receive an Academy Award. Why? For what reason? What the hell does this have to do with anything the ADL does? And who made Foxman a movie critic?

Hopefully the millions who see it will understand the horrors of the Holocaust and echo my view of “if only it were true!” Like its predecessors Schindler’s List and Life is Beautiful, Inglourious Basterds should be recognized with an Academy Award.

Everyone Holocaust-related has to fit somewhere into Abe’s P.O.V. of useful friend or dangerous, angry enemy to be condemned and reformed/isolated.

Corey Bearak not only made David Weprin victorious, but successfully framed Friedrich as a Nazi-sympathetic extremist because he honorably refuses to endorse Hate Crimes Laws, laws which create protected classes based on minority classification.

The swastika was a classy touch, of course.

In a press release, Friedrich noted,

The irony here is that the use of Nazi symbolism as a tactic to exert a chilling effect on reasonable discussion about “hate crime legislation”, is now being used as propaganda to spew the hate that such legislation seeks to stop.

Tragically, that is not the case at all. This legislation is seeking to do exactly what Corey Bearak used it for.

And incidentally, Bob Friedrich is himself, Jewish. Never the less, Bearak manipulatively played upon his German-sounding surname.

If the Northeast Queens Jewish Community Council has a shred of decency, they will boot Corey Bearak from their ranks.

Why do we have academic institutions dedicated to the exploration of anti-Semitism, but not Europhobia; why are Jews resented, but not Eskimos; why is anti-Semitism socially unacceptable in the mainstream, but Europhobia encouraged; why the a priori assumption of Jewish innocence; why is ethnic and racial consciousness verboten among Whites, but acceptable in the Jewish community; why is a border fence a proper remedy for Israel, but not for the United States; why does the U.S. State Department fight anti-Semitism, but not far more prevelant racial prejudice against Whites?

One, Yom HaShoah, was established in order to bolster Zionist claims internally to the Jewish people that Israel was the answer to the Holocaust. “Out of the Ashes.” It is suspiciously in close proximity to Israel Independence Day, which is a week later.

Both Yom HaShoah and Yom HaAtzmaut follow the Hebrew calendar in order to give these holidays a religious aura.

International Holocaust Day is to manipulate the gentiles, so it follows the solar calendar.

I celebrate neither “holiday,” because I do not recognize Zionist politicians as rabbinical authorities. On this issue, the haredim are correct.

But Mr. Rosencraft, how significant is the fact that she is a descendant of Holocaust survivors, really?

One of Rosenthal’s most significant credentials in her new post is her identity as the daughter of a survivor of the Nazi concentration camp of Buchenwald, the same camp that President Obama visited last June.

That tells us a lot about her, but tell us more about her dad, since this is very important to us and to her position.

Her father, Rabbi Franz Rosenthal, was arrested by the Gestapo in Mannheim, Germany, during the November 9, 1938 Kristallnacht pogrom, and spent almost a year as an inmate at Buchenwald.

Okay, but does her father’s history only entitle Hannah to be a leader of the Jewish community?

Rabbi Rosenthal’s incarceration at Buchenwald and his experiences as a refugee in this country forged his daughter’s identity as a fighter for human rights and against not just anti-Semitism but all forms of racism and bigotry.

Reading this essay, I am humbled. Not only as someone not descended from Holocaust survivors do I have no right to demand to be a voice in the community, I have no right to offer an opinion on anything in the U.S. regarding how to grapple with oppression or racism.

Questions of affirmative action, reverse discrimination, immigration, etc., must be left to the leadership of Holocaust survivors’ descendants only.

No one else is qualified.

Jewish groups are fighting over who is more entitled to fundraise for their organizational projects in the name of the dead.

The Los Angeles Jewish community is particularly shameless and vile.

Gal Beckerman reports in the Forward,

There are now 16 Holocaust museums in the United States, from Albuquerque, N.M., to Houston, to Richmond, Va. And these are just the biggest of nearly 150 Holocaust centers all over the country.

The proliferation of museums detailing the story of what happened to European Jewry during World War II has been largely a phenomenon of the 1990s, part of the general increase in Holocaust awareness in the culture at large. But it has by no means slowed: The most recent museum, in Skokie, Ill., opened last spring, while construction continues on a second Los Angeles museum, to open in the summer of 2010.

With a substantial, federally-backed national museum in Washington, critics are increasingly wondering about the need for so many local museums. Even more important, the question of whether these institutions will be able to financially sustain themselves into the future — given the heavy costs of maintaining collections, and the dying off of the Holocaust survivors who founded them — is of great concern to museum directors.

The West Coast Holocaustians are fighting among themselves.

And still, the building of new museums continues. The latest is in Los Angeles. In a city that already has a Holocaust institution in the Museum of Tolerance, a new 30,000 square-foot building is being constructed for an older institution, the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust, now housed on the ground floor of the ORT building, on Wilshire Boulevard.

Mark Rothman, executive director, was unapologetic about the addition of yet another museum to the Holocaust landscape. The Museum of Tolerance, he said, was more generally focused on human rights — “It’s in the name,” he said — while his museum more narrowly tells the story of the Jewish experience of World War II.

Rothman sees hypocrisy in those who criticize the building of Holocaust museums while using the Holocaust to raise funds for other community needs, including for the local federation. “As soon as they can stop using the Holocaust in some way to raise money, I think that at that point it’s valid to say maybe it’s not reasonable to spend community resources on museums,” he said.

And the actual survivors in Israel? May are so poor…in 2007 it was reported,

A third of Holocaust survivors living in Israel are poor, the Holocaust Survivors’ Welfare Fund reported this week. According to the fund, some 80,000 of the 260,000 survivors in the country live under the poverty line.

People complain about Holocaust jokes. But to me, focusing on museums when we have elderly survivors whose name our community speaks in and whose name they fundraise in for temporary exhibits, dinners, and grants, all promoting “tolerance” and all sorts of other vague platitudes while the actual survivors go without much needed medical care, well…that is the kind of disrespect I cannot approve of, and those are the kind of jokes that I don’t think are funny at all.
