Whitewashing the Dark Light

A couple of weeks ago, the NY Jewish Week republished Steve Lipman’s piece on how he became a baal teshuvah at the Monsey branch of Ohr Somyach.

Needless to say, it was a real metzizah b’ peh.

Baal Teshuvahs are happier when they are poor

See? The Orthodox Union and Big Kiruv are just trying to make people happy, and their own poll proves that the baal teshuvah is happier and less “at risk” ;) when he is poor.

Pics From the Baruch Lanner Enabler Award Ceremony

It was a moving ceremony, with a LOT of speeches. Pictured is Pinchas Stolper, Baruch Lanner’s enabler, with Stephen Burg, the International Director of NCSY, and the winner of the much coveted Baruch Lanner Enabler Award, Israel Lashak.

Where does the Orthodox Union/NCSY stand on segregated buses?

Do Segregated Buses Have an OU Hechsher?

The OU (the Orthodox Union) has strong opinions about Israel. Additionally, the OU youth group arm, NCSY, is in our public schools. And it should be noted that NCSY has rather strong opinions about interaction of the sexes.

And this year’s NCSY/Orthodox Union Baruch Lanner Enabler Award goes to…

Rabbi Israel Lashak of Dallas!

Mazel tov to Rabbi Lashak! Rabbi Lashak is to receive this year’s Rebbetzin Elaine and Pinchas Stolper Service Award. And that’s one sweet-ass honor.

About to receive a chashuv award

About to get a chashuv award

Rabbi Pinchas Stolper hired Baruch Lanner for NCSY. And he protected Baruch Lanner. And he defended Baruch Lanner even after he finally got busted for decades of abuse. Eventually, they had to let him go, but as is the custom at the OU, good working relations are still kept. Like with many of Baruch’s old buddies.

“Nobody suffered as much as Baruch!”

And a big yasher koyach to Lincoln Square Synagogue for hosting the Baruch Lanner Enabler Award at their synagogue. Sure, Lincoln Center might be sensitive to “gender” issues, but when it comes to Big Kiruv, it’s a united frum front.

The event is on Sunday January 10th. Perhaps some of us should swing by to offer our congratulations.

Rabbi Stolper never apologized for his enabling Baruch Lanner, because he owes secular and Liberal Jewry no explanation. He did things l’shem shmayim. Not like you. So to hell with you people. You just hate frum Jews!

Rabbi Pinchas Stolper was the architect of NCSY.

The Orthodox Will Wake Up First

Will the Jewish community ever wake up and demand a revision of immigration policy?

Yes, they will. And the first to do so will be the Orthodox community, who is exceptional at deflecting and dismissing charges of racism, through reversing all charges as “Ortho-bashing.”

The ADL and HIAS will not be able to stifle the Orthodox once they–the most visible targets of Islamicist wrath–decide that the Jewish lobbies for pro-immigration have become a problem, at least not once the Modern Orthodox decide that “something must be done,” and they figure out that it is the Liberal Jews who are the crux of the problem. Which they may already suspect, because of my personal efforts to inform the community.

But when will they wake up? They will wake up when it is far too late. But they will wake up. Of course, a lot of people are going to have to both die and suffer horrific wounding first.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Also important

Rabbi Weinreb, in addition to effectively rebutting Rabbi Shafran’s absurd praise of Madoff’s “repentance,” also defended Sullenberger, the American hero and pilot, whom Shafran surely targeted for smear because he is secular.

Brief Reference of JSU’s Mission to Recruit Public School Students to Orthodoxy

The New Jersey Jewish News is one of the worst community Jewish newspapers out there. Constant kissing up to the frum. Even “miracles” are reported as news in this silly newspaper.

But even the NJJN felt obligated to report, in a story on the Jewish Student Union,

Sponsored by the Orthodox Union as a way to reach unaffiliated and under-affiliated Jewish kids, the JSU began in 2002 with four clubs in Los Angeles.

It has since expanded to other states. There are now 20 clubs in New Jersey and over 230 in all in the United States and Canada, reaching an estimated 6,000 students.
[...]
She heard about the JSU through her involvement in NCSY, the Orthodox Union movement that runs the clubs. She decided to give it a try. She’s had between 20 and 40 people turn up at every meeting since the fall.

Let’s cut the BS — usually, for public school students, it works in the reverse. Most JSU students find out about NCSY through the JSU, which they own and operate.

And the money quote:

Because of some early criticism that the JSU was intended as a means to recruit unsuspecting secular Jews into the Orthodox world, Katz is careful to downplay JSU denominational ties

Oh, I’m sure they are careful about that.

Dark Light Alert: Phoenix Invaded

It’s a haredi gang bang.

Hamodia reports,

An impressive crowd of more than 100 people attended an inaugural dinner on February 15 at the Young Israel of Phoenix to help launch a new branch of Ohr Somayach-Horizons. Under the direction of Rabbi Michoel Dubitsky, the charismatic educational director, the new initiative will expand the dynamic learning program he heads in more than 15 professional offices, including some in Tucson, Arizona.

Community leaders from across the spectrum of Orthodox Jewry expressed their enthusiasm for this latest initiative, which will help quench the desert community’s thirst for Torah. In attendance were Rabbi David Rebibo, Rabbi Moshe Levertov of Chabad, Rabbi Yonah Gross of the Young Israel of Phoenix and Rabbi Yeshaya Hollander, Rosh Kollel.

images-83Tropper’s “Horizons,” Ohr Somayach, Chabad, and Young Israel. All together, all holding hands.

Well, isn’t that special.

Young Israel of Phoenix has joined with the haredim (for a change). Do not trust the right-wing Modern Orthodox. They are like the antagonist turncoat in the Godfather movies. They are close enough to you to help the others gun you down because you think they are friendly.

Let me put this as delicately as I can. This Young Israel is pinning down the arms of the Jewish community of Phoenix so a blackhatter threesome may violate her in despicable ways.
